Following the summer’s successful release of its latest generation, web-built Safety Document Management System, Eclipse3 (e3), NiSoft (www.nisoft.com) is pleased to announce implementation projects are underway in the United States and in the United Kingdom. “The immediate recognition of e3’s capabilities are validation of the vision and effort our team has put forth in developing and bringing this software product to market” said Linda Adams, NiSoft Production Manager responsible for software development and deployment.
The e3 system builds upon NiSoft’s 20 year history of delivering highly functional electronic Permit-to-Work systems to industries worldwide. It includes features well-known to current eclipse system users plus introduces many new capabilities. E3 is web-built and makes use of today’s technologies to more efficiently configure, create and maintain both the software and permits.
The widely implemented version of eclipse which has been marketed globally since 1999, will continue to be sold and supported. However, to expand on its leadership position, NiSoft has designed and built this new generation of eclipse which takes advantage of the web and will support mobility and cloud computing. The investment NiSoft has made in the development and release of e3 reflects the company’s commitment to its customers and to the industries it serves. “Releasing innovative new products is essential to remaining competitive” stated Doug Deardorf, CEO. “Having prominent industry-leading energy companies commit to adopting this new product soon after its launch is a reflection of NiSoft’s positive reputation for delivering quality solutions for our customers”.
These early e3 projects are taking place in both power generation as well as oil and gas facilities. In addition to the new sites, long-standing NiSoft customers are upgrading or planning to upgrade their eclipse systems to e3.
NiSoft is celebrating its 20th year providing tailored Electronic Permit-to-Work / Lockout Tagout software solutions to power generation facilities, oil refineries, gas terminals, chemical plants, mills and other process intensive industries. Designed to improve plant safety, productivity and compliance through creating and managing work permits electronically, NiSoft’s flagship products, eclipse and the new e3 version, are considered among the most comprehensive, yet flexible systems of their type available. The eclipse solution is installed in more than 375 sites in over 25 countries.
NiSoft maintains offices in Belfast and Singapore in addition to its N. American offices in Denver and Houston.
